Sail on a boat through the Frisian landscape
If you'd like to get some fresh air on the water and sail towards the Lauwersmeer area, hire a boat from the boat hire at the waterside park. You don't need a boat licence to steer these boats. At the end of the day, you can moor your boat by the jetty at your holiday villa so that you can take it out again the next morning. Unmissable during a stay in Friesland!
Tip: visit Paviljoen de Leyen or Restaurant Klein Zwitserland during your boat trip. You can moor your boat and enjoy a snack and a drink there.
Hire a bike to explore the surroundings in an active way
If you'd rather cycle to one of the Frisian villages or go out and explore the vast polder landscape, hire a bike or electric bike at the waterside park! The staff at reception will be more than happy to give you tips for the best cycling routes in the area. We can also deliver the bike to your holiday villa for even more convenience during your holiday. So you can jump right on the bike and enjoy your holiday to the full.
Fishing from your private jetty
A holiday villa at Summio Waterpark Zwartkruis is ideal if you like fishing! You can catch one fish after the other from your private jetty. Pike, pike-perch and whitefish swim in the water at the park. So, make sure you bring your rod if you enjoy fishing.
Swimming in the Frisian lake
It's almost impossible not to dip your toes in the water or go swimming during your stay. After an active day in the area, there's nothing nicer than relaxing by your own holiday home with your feet in the water. If you'd rather go swimming in the natural water at the park, you can do that too!
