From atmospheric villages to bustling cities, there’s something for everyone in the vicinity of Summio Parc Heihaas. For example, a 20-minute drive from the holiday park is the town of Harderwijk with its cosy streets and historical sights. Amersfoort is also worth a visit! You can find yourself in this welcoming town within a 30-minute drive, with its atmospheric canals, fine terraces and quaint shops. In Apeldoorn, a 35-minute drive from Summio Parc Heihaas, you will not only find a welcoming city centre, you can also experience the most fun activities such as visit the Apenheul primate park, or the Paleis het Loo palace. Barneveld, Nijkerk and Ermelo are also close to Summio Parc Heihaas.

Visit the Hoge Veluwe National Park
Looking to experience even more nature? The National Park De Hoge Veluwe is located just half an hour's drive from Summio Parc Heihaas, where you can hop on one of the 1,800 free white bikes at the park entrance to explore the beautiful nature park. In this park, you can spot unusual flora and fauna, such as the rare fritillary butterfly and lavender heath. Have you always wanted to take a look underground? You can do so at Museonder, the underground museum at the Nature Park.
Did you know that: you can admire the Big Five of the Veluwe at De Hoge Veluwe National Park? These include red deer, wild boar, roe deer, foxes, and Scottish highlanders.
Tip:
Watch tower the Bostoren on Schovenhorst Estate is highly recommended! Here, at a height of 40 metres, you can admire the magnificent views over Amersfoort and the Veluwe region. From Summio Parc Heihaas, you can reach the Bostoren in Putten within 8 minutes by bike.
Combine your visit to the Veluwe region with a visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum or Museonder
For art and culture lovers, a visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum at Het Nationale Park de Hoge Veluwe is also highly recommended. With almost 90 paintings by Vincent van Gogh and over 180 drawings, you can admire the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world here!
